Terms of membership

Joining

By buying a membership or joining the TCGHolics Discord server, you agree to these terms, the server rules below and Discord's Terms of Service. You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to pay for a membership.

Server rules

1. Be kind. No harassment, hate speech or personal attacks. We're all here for the cards.
2. Collectors first. Buying more than 5 of any single product from one release or restock is scalping. Scalpers are removed without warning or refund.
3. No bots, multiple accounts or friends used to get around store limits.
4. Respect store limits and store staff. Be someone they're happy to see at the next restock.
5. Keep alerts in here. Don't screenshot, forward, repost or sell our alerts or anything from members-only channels.
6. Sell to members at or near what you paid. No flipping in the server.
7. Trade fair. Describe condition honestly, use #trades and leave a vouch. Trades are between members, not TCGHolics.
8. No fakes, proxies sold as real, or scams. That's an instant ban.
9. No ads, self-promotion or DM selling without a mod's OK.
10. One account per person. Sharing your access gets both accounts removed.
11. Refer honestly. Referral rewards are for genuine new members. Fake, self or alt-account referrals lose the reward and can get you removed.
12. Alerts are best effort. Stock, prices and timing change fast, and we can't promise you'll get anything.
13. Membership is NZ$9.99 a month through Whop. Cancel any time; access ends when your paid month does.
14. Mods have the final say. By joining you agree to these terms and Discord's Terms of Service.

Membership and billing

• Membership costs NZ$9.99 a month, paid through Whop, and renews each month until you cancel.
• Promo codes, like a free first month, apply only as described when you use them.
• If the price changes, we'll tell members in #announcements at least 30 days before it applies to you.
• Your membership is for you only. Sharing your Discord access or our alerts isn't allowed.

Cancelling

Cancel any time in your Whop account. You keep access until the end of the month you've already paid for, then your member role is removed.

Refunds

We don't refund part-months or unused time, except where the law says we must. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Fair buying and scalping

TCGHolics exists so collectors get a fair go at retail. Scalping gets you removed.

• What counts as scalping. Buying more than 5 units of any single product from one release or restock, across all stores combined. A single product means the same item, such as the same booster box, Elite Trainer Box or bundle.
• Also scalping. Using bots, multiple accounts or other people to get around store limits, or reselling stock found through our alerts above what you paid.
• How we find it. Posts in the server, reports from members, resale listings and store-limit breaches.
• What happens. If the team reasonably believes you are scalping, we remove you from the server and cancel your membership without warning. Fees already paid are not refunded, to the extent the law allows.
• If you think we got it wrong. Email support@tcgholics.co.nz within 14 days and a different team member will look at it.

Alerts

Alerts come from third-party monitoring and from members. They can be late, wrong or miss a restock. We don't promise stock, prices or that you'll get anything, and we're not responsible for purchases you make from an alert.

Trades and sales between members

Trades and sales happen between members at their own risk. TCGHolics isn't part of the deal, doesn't hold money and can't guarantee items. Use #trades, check vouches, and report scams in #help-tickets.

Meetups

Meetups are held in public places and you attend at your own risk. Under-18s come with a parent or guardian. We can ask anyone to leave a meetup.

Giveaways

Monthly member giveaways start once TCGHolics reaches 100 members. Every active member at the time of the draw is entered, and prizes are shipped within New Zealand. Winners are drawn at random, announced in #winners and have 7 days to claim before we redraw. Terms for each giveaway are pinned in #giveaways.

Refer a friend

When someone joins TCGHolics for the first time, they can post the Discord name of the member who referred them in #referrals. Once their first paid month goes through, we add 31 days to the referrer's membership. Referrals are for genuine new members only: no alt accounts, self-referrals or paying people to name you. We can refuse or take back a reward if these rules aren't followed. Rewards have no cash value.

Removal

We can remove anyone who breaks these terms or the server rules. Serious breaches (scalping, scams, fakes, harassment) mean removal without warning or refund, to the extent the law allows.

Your information

We keep your Discord username and ID, plus what Whop shares with us (name, email and payment status), to run your membership. We don't sell it. Whop handles payments under its own privacy policy. Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see or correct your information at support@tcgholics.co.nz.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post meaningful changes in #announcements at least 14 days before they apply.

Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
